The mid-size Venza 2019 offers a complete lineup with a wide variety of finishes and features, two conventional engines.

The 2015 Toyota Venza ranking is based on its score within the 2015 Affordable Midsize SUVs category. Currently the Toyota Venza has a score of 8.4 out of 10 which is based on our evaluation of 60 pieces of research and data elements using various sources.

The 2015 Toyota Venza has above-average safety and predicted reliability scores, but its performance is mediocre and its cabin feels outdated.

Is the 2015 Toyota Venza a Good Used SUV?

The Venza is an OK SUV. It’s not the best in the class, nor is it the worst. If you want a comfortable ride and standard tech features, and you don’t care much about cabin quality, the Venza is worth a look. Many rivals, however, have more upscale interiors and better driving dynamics.

Used 2015 Toyota Venza Performance and Interior

The base four-cylinder engine sounds unrefined and isn’t powerful enough to adequately move the Venza’s weight. You’re better off with the available V6, which is smoother and has more grunt. Both engines come with an automatic transmission. With the base engine, the Venza gets 20 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway, which is a bit above average for the class. Fuel economy only drops by 1 mpg in city driving with the more refined and powerful V6. The Venza’s ride is primarily tuned for comfort, so the ride is very smooth overall. Around corners, the Venza stays composed, with little body lean. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is available.

The Venza’s cabin is OK, but it’s not one of the nicest in the class. Many surfaces are covered in cheap plastics, and the overall styling feels out of date. On the plus side, the dashboard has a driver-oriented design. The seats in both rows are comfortable, but they don’t have enough side and leg support, which you’ll notice on long-distance drives. For installing child safety seats, there are two full sets of LATCH connectors on the outboard rear seats.

Notable standard features include a 6.1-inch touch screen, voice recognition, Bluetooth, satellite radio, and HD Radio. Higher trims add navigation, internet apps, a premium audio system, and a panoramic sunroof. Using the touch-screen infotainment system is reasonably straightforward, but the on-screen buttons are a bit small, so they can be hard to tap while on the go.
